Perros de Habana

Some of the dogs we encountered while walking in Havana (and the Playas del Este):

Classic cuban canines.
Patria o Muerte o Kibbles

The little guy is pretty confident that the bus will respect the no-go zone borders of the pedestrian island, but it doesn't hurt to be a little vigilant...

A siesta next to the coppelia (a heladeria or ice-cream outlet) off La Rampa.

Nice pose outside the Teatro Nacional

Rather possessive fellow photographed through the wire fence of his yard in Miramar.

A little too much Miramar sun for this hairless mutt lying in the street.

A typical resident of centro Habana on a calle off Neptuno.

North Havana between the river Almendares and the Bahia resembles the silhouette of a dog's head - just an observation.

Dog at entrance opening onto Neptuno. No barking (sore throat perhaps?). There were a few dogs with capes, are they medicated to protect them against fleas or something else? We didn't find out.
